COMMUNIQUE FROM THE SECRETARIAT OF THE AFRICAN PETROLEUM PRODUCERS’ ORGANIZATION (APPO)

Message of solidarity to OPEC

The APPO Secretariat,

Having reviewed the global oil situation, characterized by significant geopolitical uncertainties, economic volatility, and structural transformations in the energy sector;
Recognizing the impact of this situation on the economies of our respective Member Countries;
Recognizing the major role of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in stabilizing the international oil market;
Considering OPEC’s reiterated commitment to supporting market stability and encouraging long-term investments in all forms of energy to meet future demand;

Reaffirms, with clarity and conviction, the central role of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in maintaining market stability and promoting responsible dialogue among oil-producing countries.
Calls on APPO Member Countries that are also members of OPEC to continue to place their full trust in this Organization and to demonstrate their solidarity and active commitment. Their constant participation constitutes not only a factor of cohesion among producers, but also a means of ensuring predictability and stability for the international oil market. This trust remains an essential factor for stability, dialogue, and cooperation, to the benefit of our countries, our economies, and the entire global oil market.
Reaffirms, in a united and constructive voice, that support for OPEC is not only an act of institutional solidarity, but also an expression of our collective responsibility toward global market stability and the energy security of our countries.

Message de solidarité à l’OPEP

Le Secrétariat de l’APPO,

Après avoir examiné la situation pétrolière mondiale, caractérisée par de fortes incertitudes géopolitiques, la volatilité économique et les transformations structurelles du secteur énergétique ;
Reconnaissant l’impact de cette situation sur l’économie de nos Pays Membres respectifs ;
Reconnaissant le rôle majeur de l’Organisation des Pays Exportateurs de Pétrole (OPEP) dans la stabilisation du marché pétrolier international ;
Considérant l’engagement réitéré de l’OPEP à soutenir la stabilité du marché et à encourager des investissements à long terme dans toutes les formes d’énergie afin de répondre à la demande future ;

Réaffirme, avec clarté et conviction, le rôle central que joue l’Organisation des Pays Exportateurs de Pétrole (OPEP) dans la préservation de la stabilité du marché et la promotion d’un dialogue responsable entre les pays producteurs de pétrole.
Invite les Pays Membres de l’APPO, également membres de l’OPEP à continuer d’apporter à cette Organisation toute leur confiance, leur solidarité et leur engagement actif. Leur participation constante constitue non seulement un facteur de cohésion entre producteurs, mais également un gage de prévisibilité et d’équilibre pour le marché pétrolier international. Cette confiance demeure un facteur essentiel de stabilité, de dialogue et de coopération, au bénéfice de nos pays, de nos économies et de l’ensemble du marché pétrolier mondial.
Réaffirme, avec une voix commune et constructive, que le soutien à l’OPEP n’est pas seulement un acte de solidarité institutionnelle, mais aussi l’expression d’une responsabilité collective envers la stabilité du marché mondial et la sécurité énergétique de nos pays.
