COMMUNIQUE FROM THE SECRETARIAT OF THE AFRICAN PETROLEUM PRODUCERS’ ORGANIZATION (APPO)
Message of solidarity to OPEC

The APPO Secretariat,
- Having reviewed the global oil situation, characterized by significant geopolitical uncertainties, economic volatility, and structural transformations in the energy sector;
- Recognizing the impact of this situation on the economies of our respective Member Countries;
- Recognizing the major role of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in stabilizing the international oil market;
- Considering OPEC’s reiterated commitment to supporting market stability and encouraging long-term investments in all forms of energy to meet future demand;
- Reaffirms, with clarity and conviction, the central role of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in maintaining market stability and promoting responsible dialogue among oil-producing countries.
- Calls on APPO Member Countries that are also members of OPEC to continue to place their full trust in this Organization and to demonstrate their solidarity and active commitment. Their constant participation constitutes not only a factor of cohesion among producers, but also a means of ensuring predictability and stability for the international oil market. This trust remains an essential factor for stability, dialogue, and cooperation, to the benefit of our countries, our economies, and the entire global oil market.
- Reaffirms, in a united and constructive voice, that support for OPEC is not only an act of institutional solidarity, but also an expression of our collective responsibility toward global market stability and the energy security of our countries.
